Your FPL Team ID is the unique number attached to your Fantasy Premier League team. It is not your team name, your manager name, your email address, or your password. It is simply the public identifier FPL uses in URLs and API data when showing a specific team.

Think of it like your seat number in the stadium. It points to your team, but it does not give anyone control of your account. That is why so many FPL tools ask for it. They need to know which public team history to load before they can show useful stats, rank movement, transfer history, or a season recap.

The fastest way to find your Team ID

Log in to the official Fantasy Premier League website or app, then open your Points page. On desktop, look at the address bar in your browser. You should see a URL that includes a number after /entry/.

For example, if your URL looks like fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/123456/event/38, your FPL Team ID is 123456. You only need the number. Do not copy the whole URL into tools that ask specifically for a Team ID.

On mobile, the process is almost the same. Open your team, go to the Points page, and use your browser’s share or address options to view the full link. Some mobile browsers hide parts of the URL, so you may need to tap the address bar before the full link appears.

Common places people get confused

The most common mistake is copying the Gameweek number instead of the Team ID. In a URL like /entry/123456/event/38, the Team ID is 123456 and the Gameweek number is 38. If you enter 38 into a tool, you are asking it to load Team ID 38, not Gameweek 38.

Another common mix-up is using your league ID. Mini-league URLs also contain numbers, but those numbers identify a league rather than your team. If an FPL tool asks for your Team ID, always use the number from your own Points page, not from a league table link.

You also do not need your team name. Team names can change during the season, and two managers can choose very similar names. The Team ID is the reliable bit.

Is it safe to use your Team ID?

Yes, using your FPL Team ID is generally safe because it refers to public Fantasy Premier League data. Someone with your Team ID can view public information such as points, rank, gameweek history, and transfers where those are available through FPL’s public endpoints.

What they cannot do is make transfers, change your captain, join leagues, or log in as you. Never give any third-party website your FPL password. A safe FPL tool should not need it for a public recap or stats page.
