Why review your FPL season?

A season review helps you understand what really happened. Final rank tells you where you finished, but it does not explain how you got there.

Maybe your rank was built on steady captaincy. Maybe one huge green arrow saved the year. Maybe your transfer hits quietly ate a full Gameweek of points. Maybe your worst week arrived at the exact moment your mini-league rival remembered how football works.

Reviewing the season helps you spot patterns. Those patterns are what you can improve next time.

What FPL MilkBox shows

FPL MilkBox uses public FPL data to create a playful end-of-season recap. It shows your manager name where available, team name where available, final rank, total points, best Gameweek, worst Gameweek, transfers, hit points, and rank movement.

The experience is designed like a milk carton rather than a dashboard. Each card feels like a different panel: front label, product recall, nutrition facts, quality control, farmer’s notes, and final package.

How the personality label works

FPL MilkBox gives your season a personality based on transfer behaviour and hit points. If you barely touched your squad, you might be The Loyalist. If you made plenty of moves, you might become The Tinkerer.

If your hit points got out of hand, the carton may diagnose you as a Hit Addict. If transfers flew around all season, Chaos Merchant is waiting with a clipboard.

It is meant to be funny, but it can also be useful. Transfer behaviour is one of the easiest parts of FPL to review honestly.

How to use your recap

First, enjoy it. FPL is a game, and the recap is built to be shared with your mini-league. Save the final card, send it to the group chat, and accept whatever replies arrive.

Second, look for lessons. Did your best Gameweek come from a planned chip or a random haul? Did your worst Gameweek come from a risky captain? Did your biggest red arrow follow a transfer spree?

Third, write down one or two things to improve. Not twenty. One or two. Fewer hits, calmer captaincy, better chip planning, or stronger bench management is enough.

What FPL MilkBox does not do

FPL MilkBox does not invent fake insight. It does not use expected points, luck models, or AI-generated judgement. It uses factual public FPL data and turns it into a story.

That keeps the recap lightweight and honest. Your rank is your rank. Your hits are your hits. Your worst Gameweek may be emotionally difficult, but it is not fictional.

Start with your Team ID

To use FPL MilkBox, you need your FPL Team ID. You can find it on your FPL Points page in the URL after /entry/.

Once you have it, open the FPL MilkBox tool, enter the number, and deliver your season. If the public FPL API still has the season data available, your recap will be packaged in a few seconds.

Some seasons deserve trophies. Some deserve investigations. Either way, they deserve a MilkBox.

Use the review before next season

The best time to review your FPL season is before the memories turn into vibes. You might remember one terrible captain, but forget the ten good calls that kept you afloat.

Save your FPL MilkBox card, then write down a short note for next season. Something like: take fewer early hits, keep a stronger bench in winter, use chips with fixtures, or stop buying players because they scored against your club.

That little note is more useful than a giant spreadsheet you never open again. FPL improvement is often about one or two cleaner habits, repeated every Gameweek.
